Worksite Courses

Level 1: The basic entry level (8hour) first aid course required by Worksafe BC. You must be at least 16 years old and valid government ID must be shown for a ticket to be issued. Tickets are valid for 3 years. $79

Level 2: A one week (40 hour) course for the worksite. Required by many public institutions and industry within 20 minutes of a hospital. Tickets are valid for 3 years and valid government ID must be shown for ticket to be issued. Written and practical exams are required. $550

Level 3: The 10 day course designed for the worksite. Many jobs require a level 3 attendant, this certificate can open many job opportunities in industry. Tickets are valid for 3 years and valid government ID must be shown for a ticket to be issued. Written and practical exams are required. $645

Level 3 Refresher: This is an option for those wanting to renew their level 3 ticket, a 4-5 day practical part of the course with the exam on the last day. Recommended for experienced level 3 attendants who have done the pre-reading. Ticket is valid for 3 years and valid government ID must be shown for ticket to be issued. Level 3's can also challenge the exam without attending the course if they feel ready.

PCP to level 3 bridging: A 2 day course for those with their paramedic license who also want to hold a level 3 ticket to work in industry. Ticket is valid for 3 years and valid government ID must be shown.

Transportation Endorsement: The 8 hour add-on to the level 1 course. Adds the ability to package and transport injured workers. A Worksafe BC recognised course, tickets are valid for 3 years (with a level 1). Please bring along valid government ID and your level 1 certificate for the addition of the endorsement. $85

EMR: (Emergency Medical Responder) The entry level Paramedic course, this is a 3 week course covering both working in industry as well as starting out on the road to becoming a paramedic. The certificate is accepted as equivalent to a level 3, and allows you to go on to the Emergency Medical Assistant Licensing Board exams and get your EMR License. The certificate is valid for 3 years and valid government ID must be shown for a ticket to be issued. There is a written and practical exam at the conclusion of the course. $TBA

Oxygen Therapy: A 4 hour course teaching the use of oxygen and the safe handling of cylinders.

CPR-A with AED: The basic 4 hour CPR course for adults and children. Teaches CPR and choking for adults and children as well as teaches the use of an AED. Certificate is good for 3 years. $25

CPR-C with AED: The 6 hour course that teaches CPR and choking for adults, children and infants. The use of an AED is also covered, with lots of time to practise the hands on part of CPR. Certificate is valid for 3 years. $45

CPR-C for Health Care Providers: Same as CPR-C, but also includes the extra parts required for health care providers such as nurses, paramedics, medical office staff etc. $60. CPR-C Recertification is $35

Standard: 16 hour course with a focus on all around first aid. Excellent course for anyone who wants a basic first aid that is good for almost anywhere you may need it. Certificate is valid for 3 years. Includes basic CPR with AED. $125

Marine: The basic first aid course oriented to people working in a marine environment. Includes the basic CPR and AED training. $95

Marine Advanced: The more advanced course for marine environment workers. Approved by Transport Canada for worksites that need it. Includes the basic CPR with AED component. Certificate is valid for 3 years.

Wilderness: The 20 hour course designed for the outdoor enthusiast. A good course for those who do day trips or play in the great outdoors. Lots of hands on training and outdoor simulations. Certificate is valid for 3 years. $225

Advanced Wilderness: The 40 hour course for outdoor enthusiasts, accepted as the first aid course for assistant guides. Lots of hands on training and simulations, mostly done in the outdoors to allow participants a chance to practise their skills in a realistic environment. Certificate is valid for 3 years. $375

Childcare: Course for anyone who looks after children, from daycare workers to parents with children. Certificate is valid for 3 years. $50
